Good quality video footage

Needed some 4k video footage for a client. Found it, bought it, downloaded it. Quality was solid. No issues.

Reliable for stock photos

I've used Getty Images a few times now for stock photos and they're always consistent. This last time I got an Ultrapack, and the process was just as smooth as previous individual purchases. The search filters are really helpful for narrowing down results, which saves a lot of time. Delivery is instant, since it's all digital, so that's never a problem. I keep coming back because I know what to expect.

Easy to find what I needed

I was looking for some creative illustrations for a small project and found a ton of good options here. The website was pretty straightforward to navigate, which was nice. Downloading the image was super quick after I paid. It just worked, no fuss, which is exactly what I wanted.

Smooth purchase, good variety

I recently purchased several royalty-free images for a new website design. The ordering process was fairly smooth; I just added them to my cart and checked out. I had a slight hiccup finding the exact license type I needed, but their FAQ section cleared that up pretty fast. The images themselves were high quality, as expected. Download speeds were great, and they were ready to use immediately. I also appreciate the wide selection of editorial photography and creative stills. It took me a bit to decide, but the variety made it worth it. Overall, a solid experience for digital assets.

Thinking of getting an Ultrapack, but saw a promo code online. Can I use it on like, my second Ultrapack purchase or is it only for new stuff?

M Melissa Jackson 1 week ago
Nah, those codes usually are for your first time getting an Ultrapack or starting a new subscription. They're pretty strict about that.

J John Jones 1 week ago
i think it's mostly new customers or new subscriptions for the bigger discounts. like, if you already have an Ultrapack going, you'd probably need to talk to sales to see about a volume deal or something.

Comparing Getty to Shutterstock for creative images. Is Getty really that much better for quality or is it just more expensive?

S Susan Perez 3 weeks ago
Getty generally has better quality and more unique stuff, especially for editorial. Shutterstock is more quantity.

J Justin Thomas 3 weeks ago
From my experience, Getty definitely has a higher-end, more curated collection, especially if you're looking for something really specific or premium. Shutterstock is good for volume and more generic stuff. Depends what you need, honestly. Getty's price usually reflects that perceived quality difference.

Does Getty offer any kind of discount for students? I'm working on a big project and need a bunch of images, but my budget is super tight.

B Brian Garcia 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they do! I'm pretty sure I saw a student discount mentioned somewhere. Worth checking their site or just asking support.

R Ryan Gomez 2 weeks ago
They definitely have a student discount. It's usually a percentage off. you probably need to verify your student status, like with a .edu email or something.

Has anyone had issues with a promo code not working? I put in one for 20% off an Ultrapack and it just kept saying 'invalid'.

N Nick Martinez 3 weeks ago
Could be it's expired, or maybe you're trying to use it on something it doesn't apply to, like an existing contract.

L Laura Jackson 3 weeks ago
Yeah, sometimes those codes are super specific, like new customers only or only for certain types of Ultrapacks. Also, if you already have an active subscription, most codes won't work for that. You might need to contact sales directly for renewal deals.

Thinking about getting a subscription, but is it easy to cancel if I decide it's not for me? And do they do refunds if I haven't used all my downloads?

J Jason Turner 1 month ago
Cancelling is pretty straightforward, I did it once. Not sure about refunds for unused downloads though, I don't think they usually do that.

R Ryan Roberts 1 month ago
You can cancel your subscription, it's usually in your account settings. But for refunds on unused downloads, my understanding is that once you've bought the pack or subscription, unused downloads typically aren't refundable. Read their refund policy carefully before you buy.

Quick question about the royalty-free images. Can I just use them for anything once I download them? Like for a commercial ad campaign?

S Susan Martin 1 month ago
Yup, that's kinda the point of royalty-free. Use it as much as you want without paying extra fees each time.
3
J Jacob Jones 1 month ago
For sure. Royalty-free means you pay once and can use it for commercial stuff, advertising, whatever, without having to worry about per-use fees or anything. Just read the specific license for any weird edge cases, but generally, you're good.
